Our list of questions that we get asked most frequently

Do you sell computers?

We sure do!  We have an array of laptops and desktops either in stock or available to us on short order.  We’ve also got tablet computers.  Drop us a line to find out what we have in stock, or let us know what you want and we’ll track it down for you.

Do you make on site service calls?

Our on site service is limited to business clientele due to insurance limitations.  We have experienced staff in the area of business systems and networking and are happy to meet with you at your place of business to discuss how we can help you grow your business through effective use of technology.

What areas (geographically) do you service?

We are serving the South West Nova region, spanning from the Bridgetown area all the way down through the French Shore.  If you are in or near this region, drop us a line.  We can discuss how best to service your requirements.

Can you assist us at our place of business during evenings/weekends?

Our regular hours of operation are Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5:30 pm.  The retail store is also open on Saturday from 10 am to 5pm, but regular on site business service is only available during weekdays.  On call service is available if required.  Contact us to discuss your requirements as far as after projects or emergency service coverage (in the event of technology related outages.

We need a web page.  Can you build one for us?

Our area of expertise is more centered on providing service to your systems and networks (computers, servers, networking equipment, printing/faxing equipment and other network attached devices and the related maintenance and security).  We can assist in provisioning your web presence by setting up your internet domains, basic web pages (ie – blogs, discussion boards and the like) and email.  If you’re looking for a larger and more detailed web presence we can assist you in finding the right solution for your business.

Can you help us remove a virus from our system(s)?

The short answer is ‘yes.’  Depending on the virus and how much damage it has done to a computer system it is not always possible to restore it back to its original condition and it may have to be reinstalled.  We can provide an assessment of the affected system and suggest the best course of action to have it back up and working with the least amount of downtime.

Will you fix my home computer?

We can work on home computers as well as business systems.  Give us a call, email or drop into the store and let us know what kind of assistance you require and we will do our best to assist you.

We need wireless coverage for our office/place business.  Can you help us?

Yes.  We have experience setting up both small office and larger site configurations.  We can discuss your needs and recommend a suggestion that’s right for the services that you require.

We’re starting/expanding our business and need to network computers together.  Where do we start?  What do we need?

We have built and serviced many network systems.  Prepare a list of what you want to be able to do with your computers and network and we will translate that into a recommendation of the hardware and software that you will require.  We will put a plan into place to acquire, configure, secure and maintain it.  There are many options out there in the world of computers today so allow us to guide you through the clutter to get what you need without being oversold.

A computer/server just crashed that has critical business information on it and we don’t have recent backups.  Is there any way to get our data back?

The ability to recover data is directly related to specifically what has crashed on the computer.  Your data is located on the hard drive in your computer and there are many other possible points of failure.  If it is something other than your hard drive that failed, simply repairing or replacing (usually replacing) the failed component can completely alleviate the issue.  If it is the hard drive that failed, it is sometimes possible to recover all or some of the data that it contains.  This is on a case by case basis.  If you are in this situation, we will provide you an assessment of the condition of the affected system and a recommended course of action.
